Term 3 got off to an extraordinary start at Gratton on July 21st! As our students and staff settled back into their daily routines, our campus had the immense privilege of hosting distinguished international guests: the Norwegian Ambassador and her official delegation.
From the moment the delegation arrived, they were warmly greeted by our school choir and a powerful drumbeat. In Norwegian tradition, the drum symbolises unity and connection across journeys making it a deeply meaningful cross-cultural tribute.
The visit brought extra excitement to our soccer players, who draw huge inspiration from Norway's own Erling Haaland. Celebrating Norway's global sports achievements especially in the recent World Cup gave our team an unforgettable boost of motivation. This was made even sweeter by the delegation's generous donation of new footballs to our sports programme.
Guided on a comprehensive tour of the school, the delegation stepped into our active classrooms to observe teaching and learning in action. As they walked through our quiet, neat, and orderly corridors, the Ambassador noted how impressed she was by the focused atmosphere and the calm discipline defining our daily routine.
By opening our doors to world leaders and drawing inspiration from international icons, Gratton proves time and again that our vision is broad, our standards are high, and our future is bright.
Here’s to an inspiring and impactful Term 3!
