Our Foundation Phase learners recently swapped their usual workbooks for digital cameras during an interactive Photography Day. Throughout the event, students learned how to hold a camera steady, focus on their subjects, and press the shutter button to capture crisp images.
Introducing photography during these early developmental years offers rich educational benefits for young minds. Handling a camera strengthens fine motor skills and spatial awareness, while learning to pose and direct classmates boosts body confidence and self-expression. Crucially, hands-on activities like this teach children early digital literacy, encouraging them to view technology as an active tool for creative storytelling rather than passive screen time.
As we celebrate the wonderful growth of our current students, we would also like to remind our school community that applications for the 2027 academic year are still open. Prospective parents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to secure a space for their child, as we have very limited spaces available.
